Sharp and easy to use.

Strong secateurs. Easily cuts thin, soft deadheading, also hardwood stems and everything in between. Fairly heavy, but not too heavy for my arthritic hands. Can fill in a lifetime guarantee form on Kumura’s website.

quick release latch

Keep clean and oiled regularly, the handy clip lock is a game changer for one handed use. Simply flip the latch off against you hip or arm and when cutting is complete simply lock them back of by doing the same operation on reverse. Sharp and ergonomically manufactured.

Work well

Delivery was fast, communications good and the secateurs so far work very well. I've only used them today. They seem strong and sharp, well designed and likely to last a long time with luck.

I recommend these pruning scissors

Been using these pruning scissors for about a week now. I've probably cut through some things they weren't intended for, but they're still going strong. I can cut paper with them with ease even after a tough first week's use. That's good enough for me... Then again, you SHOULD get what you pay for in this world. All too often, it doesn't matter how much you spend, you still get cheap trash from China. These pruning scissors certainly do not fall into that category. I'm genuinely impressed by them.

STOP, BUY THESE (QUALITY PRODUCT)

A very well made pair of Secateurs, extremely sharp, and good fit in the hand, my old pair were coming to end of there life, so paid a little extra and glad I did as these are as good if not better than old ones, kimura, Japanese made, highly recommend

Feel Small In The Hand

I bought these as the description and reviews suggested they are perhaps the best option for the price. On receipt I was a little disappointed as they feel quite small in the hand, I expected something slightly heavier, more robust. They do seem well made, so it will be interesting to see how well they last. The lock is very positive, when locking you need to squeeze the handles slightly more than you might think.

Truly a wonderful discovery in my world of gardening.

I have just received my new Kimura secateurs. May I say that as soon as I held them, the weight, the balance, I knew I had made the right choice. I went straight out into the garden to prune, prune, and prune. I am delighted with my new garden tool. I can’t wait to view their other products and treat myself again.

Would Thoroughly Recommend

Rather more than I would usually pay for secateurs but worth it. Very sharp blades and I love how they open automatically when you squeeze them together. Very comfortable handles, especially if you have osteoarthritic hands.

Brilliant gardening tool

What a fabulous bit of kit. These snips are smaller and lighter than secateurs and therefore much easier to carry around in a pocket. As a result I find that I'm much more likely to have them with me, having left the heftier secateurs in the house. The snips are sturdy and built to last and I love the fact that they have a lifetime warranty. The lock strap is a simple latch on the back of the snips which means it can't be operated singlehandedly, as you might see on larger secateurs but equally it is a very strong, simple lock with very little to go wrong. Needless to say, these snips are very sharp and cut stems of varying thickness beautifully.

Good aharp secateurs

These secateurs are very sharp and need very little effort to cut quite large branches. The handle is covered in a rubber material that give plenty of grip. I don't have the biggest of hands but I am able to close them easily. The spring is strong enough to push them back open but not need to much force to close them. The only slightly fiddly bit is putting the lock back on. You need to squeeze them closed quite hard to put the lock on.Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase and they feel a good quality well made pair of secateurs.

Excellent better then Felco

Exactly what I wanted I have always used the Felco ones but as I’m replacing the second pair that had basically gone missing and the price on them is now ridiculous I though I would give the Japanese models a go and can honestly say the quality if anything is better.Time will tell bug do far I can highly recommend them as a gardener of 59 years

Can't life without it!

I cannot live without my Kimura scateurs. My wife lost mine (we think she dropped them in the rubbish), they may yet come to light. But I had to have a new pair straight away, hence this purchase. They are the best secateurs I have ever owned (age 76), strong, easy to keep sharp, and comfortable to use. I like this model because I find the catch safe.

Comfortable with a clean cut

If you are looking for a pair of pruners that bridges the gap between traditional Japanese craftsmanship and modern ergonomic utility, the Kimura Pro102 is a standout contender. Built for precision work, deadheading, and light-to-medium branch trimming, these scissors will soon become favorite among horticulturists and bonsai enthusiasts alike. The hallmark of the Pro102 is its incredibly clean cut. The high-carbon steel blades slice through stems like butter, leaving smooth cuts that help plants heal faster and reduce the risk of disease.Unlike traditional all-metal Japanese shears that can tire out your hands during long sessions, the Pro102 features contoured grips. The spring-loaded mechanism provides just the right amount of resistance, reducing hand fatigue significantly. The bottom latch lock is straightforward, robust, and stays out of the way while you are actively cutting.
